The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

Spelling-bee

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor.

Dust off your dictionary as six awkward adolescents face off in the battle of their lives. Let the spelling (and the singing) begin! The competition is intense. The words are outrageous.  The songs are hilarious. These six quirky youngsters tell tales from their home lives while spelling their hearts out hoping to never hear the crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a mistake. Both tender and sarcastic, this joyful Tony Award-winning musical of overachievers’ angst brings you inside a spelling championship you’ll never forget. Directed by Kathy Witt.
